I am sociolinguist with a PhD in Linguistics from the University of South Carolina, where I also completed a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies.

My work is situated within sociolinguistics, linguistic anthropology, and discourse analysis to explore language ideologies within transgender communities in the US South and beyond.
